Department
Finance works closely with operational and support teams across the UK, providing financial expertise, governance, reporting, and commercial insight to help the business make informed decisions and achieve its strategic objectives.
The team is responsible for maintaining robust financial controls, managing budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and delivering accurate financial information across the business. Through proactive support and analysis, Finance helps drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement at every level of the organisation.
The Role
This role delivers accurate monthly management accounts with clear variance insights to support decision-making. Responsibilities include leading budgeting and forecasting, monitoring KPIs, and driving cost-control initiatives. Working closely with department heads, you'll provide actionable financial analysis, maintain financial models and reporting tools, ensure compliance with internal controls, and support year-end audit and statutory reporting. The role also manages balance sheet reconciliations and provides ad hoc analysis for key business initiatives.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the finance team's input into budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
- Collaborate with department heads to deliver actionable financial insights and guidance.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and adherence to financial policies.
- Support year-end audit activities and statutory reporting requirements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to inform and support key business initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience in a management accounting role.
- Previous audit experience preferable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools and financial systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, NetSuite) preferred.
