Management Accountant
We are delighted to exclusively partner with our client to recruit a Management Accountant. This is an all-encompassing position that will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and reporting functions as well as business partnering, maintaining strong internal controls, analysis, and statutory compliance.
Client Details
Our client is a market leading Engineering & Manufacturing Business based in Rosyth. The role will sit within a high functioning finance team with exposure across all areas of the business.
Description
The successful candidate will likely have the following:
- Production of monthly management accounts with business partnering.
- Process accruals, prepayments and journals including accounting for contract revenue and deferred income.
- Post all receipts and payments and produce a weekly cash flow forecast.
- Invoice customers according to contract milestones and maintain the sales ledger.
- Manage payments to suppliers and oversee the purchase ledger.
- Interrogate and extract information from the ERP system to assist with contract reviews and margin performance.
- Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
- Produce a monthly Board report with commentary and variance analysis.
- Prepare quarterly VAT submissions.
- Oversight of payroll, administered by HR.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisers at year end and provide analysis for statutory reporting.

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ICAS, CIMA or ACCA) Preferred, or QBE.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of an ERP system and/or Sage.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Job Offer
This role offers a competitive salary between £55,000-£60,000 DOE plus benefits. Please apply for further details.
