About Steeldeck US

The Steeldeck companies are specialist staging and technical equipment companies operating across live events, theatre, broadcast, exhibitions, and film. With established businesses in the UK (London) and the US (New York and Los Angeles), the group designs, manufactures, hires, and sells staging systems to the world’s leading productions and events.

The US operations are expanding, and we are looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to provide financial reporting, analysis, and support across both US entities.

The Role

This is a part-time position (approximately 2 days per week, with flexibility on days and working pattern). You will be the primary finance resource in the US, working closely with the Finance Director based in the UK and reporting into the Group CFO.

Your primary responsibility is to produce accurate, timely management accounts and provide finance support to the US operational teams. The role is QuickBooks-based and covers both the New York and Los Angeles entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for both US entities, with full P&L, balance sheet, and variance commentary
  • Reconcile all bank accounts and balance sheet control accounts monthly
  • Submit monthly royalty reports to the UK
  • Maintain and manage the US chart of accounts within QuickBooks
  • Produce job-level and project profitability reports to support operational decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
