The Finance Team
The Finance team plays a critical role in supporting Welbeck's continued growth and operational excellence. Acting as a trusted partner to teams across the business, the department provides robust financial reporting, insightful analysis, effective financial control, and strategic support to enable informed decision-making at every level.
Role Overview
We're looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team and play a key role in supporting financial performance across Welbeck's corporate functions.
Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and providing meaningful analysis that supports business decision-making. You'll work closely with budget holders, helping them understand performance, manage costs, and deliver against budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with business partnering in a growing and ambitious healthcare organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow statements.
- Own the balance sheet reconciliation process and support an efficient month-end close.
- Produce budget, forecast and variance analysis, providing meaningful commentary to stakeholders.
- Partner with department heads and budget holders to support effective financial decision-making and cost control.
- Manage corporate recharges, apportionments and invoice approval processes.
- Maintain cashflow reporting and support banking administration activities.
- Support capital expenditure reporting and ongoing financial planning activities.
Requirements
You are a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong technical accounting knowledge and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, you enjoy building relationships with stakeholders across the business and translating financial information into clear, actionable insights.

You have a strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate reporting while maintaining effective financial controls. Equally, you're confident challenging assumptions, supporting decision-making, and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and processes.
You'll bring experience in management and statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and business partnering with non-finance stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are essential. Experience within healthcare, professional services or a multi-site environment would be advantageous.
