Management Accountant
Location: Southampton
Job Type: Full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract

A growing and forward-thinking organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join its finance team for a 12-month maternity contract cover. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive environment, to undertake a broad range of management accounting responsibilities within a PE-backed environment.
Your New Role
As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business decision-making and collaborating with stakeholders across the wider business. You will work closely with senior finance leaders whilst taking ownership of month-end activities and management reporting.

- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations.
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Supporting business projects by providing financial insight and analysis.
- Collating payroll information and liaising with external payroll provider.
- Assisting with day-to-day finance operations and supporting junior members of the team.
- Acting as a first point of contact for internal finance queries and ensuring timely resolution.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance reporting efficiency.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial controls.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using QuickBooks and Salesforce would be advantageous.
