📊 About the Role

We're looking for a detail-driven Management Accountant (Operations) to work closely with our Operations and Supply-Chain teams, keeping the business running as efficiently and effectively as possible and driving real value and decision-critical insights across the supply chain.

You’ll also build out inventory, cost and gross margin reporting, becoming our go-to person for what’s driving gross margin, and putting the reporting, processes and controls in place as we scale, rather than just running what’s already there. This plays a key role in month-end close and group consolidation, and your output will form the foundation of the management information reviewed by the Founders and Senior Management. The role will be highly visible from day one.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities:

📦 Build & Own Cost & Margin Reporting

  • Business partner with the Operations and Supply teams to drive value and insight.
  • Build robust COGS analysis and cost variance reporting by SKU and channel, feeding into business-critical decision making.
  • Design and maintain a landed cost (freight, duty) methodology and standard costs that reflect how the business actually operates.
  • Build a reliable monthly inventory reconciliation process, tying physical and perpetual stock to the general ledger.
  • Build out and maintain bill of material discipline as recipes, pack formats and suppliers change, keeping standard costs aligned to how products are actually made.
  • Verify supplier invoice costs against expected landed cost.
  • Build gross margin reporting by product and channel that explains the key drivers behind period-on-period movement.

⚙️ What You’ll Be Involved In

  • Month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, FX revaluations etc.
  • Intercompany accounting as our group structure grows.
  • Supporting our first-year audit, ERP implementation, and ad hoc reporting.
  • New product and market launch costing and margin modelling for new SKUs, formats and countries as the range and our footprint grow.
  • Choosing and rolling out the systems and tools beyond the ERP that will power reporting, forecasting and automation as we scale.
  • Forecasting and scenario planning that feeds directly into commercial and supply-chain decisions.
  • Direct exposure to the Founders and Senior Leadership team, with your analysis shaping real strategic calls.

🎯 About you – MUST HAVES

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (Or equivalent).
  • 4–6 years’ accounting experience (including time training), ideally in consumer goods or another inventory-based environment, familiar with bill-of-material, manufacturing accounting and international shipping.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience using a broad range of accounting tools.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, and confident using tools such as Power Query, Excel automation (e.g. macros/Power Automate) and AI tools to speed up reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).

🌟 The Ideal Candidate Is:

  • Experience in FMCG, D2C, or a fast-scaling business is a bonus, along with exposure to multi-entity accounting, or a first-year audit.
  • ERP Implementation experience.
  • Calm, collected, and impossible to fluster.
  • Obsessed with details and getting things done.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, as processes and controls are still being built rather than simply followed.

💚 Why This Role

This role exists to serve a real need that the business has for insight. By filling that role you become a key player from day one. Expansion, system and process changes, ERP implementation, and our first-year audit are all landing at once.

This role sits at the centre of that, offering real ownership, technical breadth, and the chance to grow as the finance function scales. You’ll also be joining a small, high-trust finance team which means outsized impact and visibility from day one, with nothing you build here getting lost in a big hierarchy.

💼 What We Offer

  • EMI options scheme (real equity upside in the UK’s fastest-growing brand).
  • Private healthcare.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • A stunning office space shared with inspiring, high-performing people you’ll learn from daily.
  • Unlimited Matcha.
