Management Accountant
Castlefield are working with a Not for Profit organisation to recruit a Management Accountant into the team on a fixed term basis until December 2027. The client offers flexible working (1 day a week in office) and a salary of £46,000.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
- Preparing month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Leading monthly budget holder meetings and providing financial performance analysis
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing ad-hoc financial reports, KPIs and performance information
- Supporting annual budget setting and forecasting processes
- Providing financial and accounting support for new property developments, including revenue and capital costs
- Supporting process and systems improvements to improve efficiency
- Completing reconciliations between finance and housing management systems
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and purchase order accruals
- Supporting year-end accounts preparation and liaising with external auditors
- Preparing statutory returns, including VAT returns and regulatory/funder reporting
- Supporting the calculation and reconciliation of rent, service charge, leaseholder and shared ownership charges
- Providing financial advice, analysis and budget support to operational managers

Requirements
- Substantial Management Accountant experience
- Knowledge of general ledger and journals, asset registers and statutory accounts
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
