About us:
Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn't an option.
And that problem isn't exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities.
Conventional home broadband doesn't always work for them.
Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms.
We take the complexity out of connectivity.
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, with responsibility for monthly management accounts, revenue recognition and balance sheet control.
You will provide clear insight into financial performance, explain key variances and work with stakeholders across the business to understand commercial and operational drivers.
You will also support the annual external audit and help strengthen finance processes, controls, systems and reporting.
Key Areas of Focus:
The finance team is responsible for robust period-end reporting, financial control and commercial insight, supporting informed decision-making across the business.
Your day-to-day role will consist of the following responsibilities:

- Support the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, including the preparation, review and posting of journals.
- Own the monthly revenue recognition process, reviewing project and contract data, accrued and deferred revenue, associated gross margin and resolving discrepancies.
- Review overhead, revenue and gross margin variances, providing clear explanations and insight into project profitability.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and control account reconciliations, working closely with the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams.
- Support VAT return preparation and ensure reconciling differences are investigated and resolved.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure depreciation is calculated and posted each month.
- Support the annual external audit by preparing schedules and evidence, responding to queries and coordinating business inputs.
- Provide business partnering support and concise analysis to help stakeholders make informed commercial and financial decisions.
- Support effective finance systems and maximise automation opportunities for project accounting and reporting.
- Deliver agreed objectives, support the finance team during peak periods and undertake other duties aligned to the scope and level of the role.
About you:
You will be a strong communicator with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across financial and non-financial teams. You will enjoy working with large volumes of data, think analytically and take a hands-on, results-focused approach while meeting tight deadlines.

Essential:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
- Experience of month-end processing, management accounts and reporting activities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial control, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience of business partnering with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
Desirable:
- Experience of Access Financials.
- Experience in the IT or telecommunications sector.
- Experience of working in a private equity-backed business.
- Experience of working in an SME environment.
