About the Role

Working closely with the Leeds Finance Manager, you'll support the manufacturing and procurement teams, providing accurate financial analysis and insight to help improve site performance. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional with previous manufacturing experience who enjoys working closely with operational teams and using financial data to drive performance and improvement.

Michael Page Finance is partnering with a well-established international manufacturing business to recruit a Management Accountant for its Leeds operation.

Description

  • Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Analyse financial performance against budget and identify trends and variances.
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning activities.
  • Review financial data and investigate fluctuations or anomalies.
  • Process and review supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and support accounts payable activities.
  • Produce regular financial and management reports.
  • Gather and present financial information, analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.

Profile

  • Previous experience in a Management Accounting role within manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of financial and management accounting.
  • Experience producing management information and analysing performance.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to analyse data and communicate financial insight clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • A relevant finance/accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
