Management Accountant
Manchester | Hybrid
A growing property business is looking for a Management Accountant to join its finance team in Manchester.
This is a hands-on role covering the end-to-end accounting process, with responsibility for management accounts, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
You’ll work closely with senior finance leadership and play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and provide clear financial analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee balance sheet reconciliations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Prepare VAT returns and support wider compliance requirements
- Assist with annual audits and group reporting
- Identify and improve financial processes and controls
- Support income reconciliation and financial reporting
- Work on ad-hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and manage a junior member of the finance team

About You
- Fully qualified accountant is desirable (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
- 3+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Sage or a similar accounting system
- Property sector experience is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
- Confident communicator with experience working across teams
