Client Details

I am seeking a talented Management Accountant to join a growing finance team of an ambitious, fast-growing business based in Oldham.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, supporting financial reporting across a growing international group.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the business, with responsibility across management reporting, month-end, financial control and commercial analysis. Working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director, you will help improve the quality of reporting, strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes across the finance function.

Description

The key responsibilities of a Management Accountant will be:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis
  • Own month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Manage FX transactions and revaluations across UK, EU and US entities
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting for senior leadership and founder-owners
  • Prepare VAT and support statutory/regulatory submissions
  • Analyse high-volume sales data across multiple platforms
  • Support intercompany accounting, multi-currency consolidation and internal controls
  • Assist with external auditors and advisors
  • Provide margin analysis
  • Partner with commercial, buying, operations and supply chain teams on financial performance and cost control
  • Optimise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and improve finance processes
  • Identify automation opportunities, including AI, to improve reporting and month-end
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of management information
  • Support and mentor junior finance team members

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
