Role: Management Accountant

Location: Garforth, Leeds (Office Based)

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 + Market-Leading Bonus / Benefits

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a well-established and growing business looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of management accounts, financial reporting, and play a key role within a fast-paced and growing organisation.

We are open to candidates from both industry and practice backgrounds. This could suit a newly qualified or recently qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant, as well as an accountant trained within practice who is looking to make their move into industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Produce detailed overhead and cost variance analysis, identifying key drivers and trends
  • Complete and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and external audit requirements
  • Assist with VAT returns and other tax-related requirements
  • Provide financial and technical accounting support to key stakeholders across the business
  • Prepare financial information and analysis for Board reporting
  • Support cross-functional finance improvement and process optimisation projects
  • Assist with systems improvements, banking analysis, VAT reviews, and other ad-hoc finance projects
  • Help strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, and accounting procedures
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the wider business

Skills & Experience

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant – newly qualified and recently qualified candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Candidates who have trained within practice or industry will be considered
  • Strong technical financial accounting knowledge
  • Proven experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Proactive approach with a genuine desire to improve processes and add value
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines
