Are you a qualified accountant looking for a varied role within a modern, technology-driven accountancy practice?
I am delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a highly regarded and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive firm that embraces digital technology, flexible working and a collaborative culture.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality management accounting services to a varied portfolio of clients, whilst also overseeing and supporting a small team of bookkeepers.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
- Producing meaningful financial reports, forecasts and business insights.
- Reviewing bookkeeping work and ensuring accuracy across client records.
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting a small team of bookkeepers.
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies through technology.
- Supporting clients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting and business performance analysis.
- Working closely with senior management to enhance service delivery.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong management accounting experience.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- A proactive and commercial approach to problem solving.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar platforms.
