Senior Management Accountant

12 month fixed-term contract

Hybrid (3 days in office)

Early-mid October start date


We are partnering with a leading commodities organisation with an established finance function on a search for a Management Accountant to join on a fixed-term basis. You will work in a structured environment that values accurate financial reporting, effective controls and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will support the delivery of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities. This is a hands-on, non-managerial role with responsibility for producing accurate management information and supporting a strong financial control environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare daily and monthly journals with the required supporting documentation.
  • Complete quarterly group reporting.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Calculate intercompany revenue and cost allocations and recharges.
  • Complete Office for National Statistics surveys.
  • Support quarterly and annual audit activity.
  • Assist with internal controls reviews and internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to ad hoc finance projects as directed by the Senior Finance Manager.

Key Skills

  • ACA-qualified accountant.
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage recurring deadlines across daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
  • Experience supporting audit and financial control processes.
  • Financial services experience is preferred.
  • Power BI skills are desirable.
