Sowena Group is excited to be partnered with a high growth and acquisitive construction business in Lancashire, to recruit a newly qualified Management Accountant.
You will report into the Finance Director and will be responsible for assisting and providing timely and relevant financial reports.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Management Accountant:
- Monthly and ad hoc accurate management information reports and management of month-end procedures
- Maintaining asset registers
- Accountability for the outcomes of all accounting and financial reporting activities
- Reconciliation and agreement of intercompany balances
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns ready for review before submission
- Provide support with the Annual Statutory Audit
- Conduct margin analysis, ROI and KPI reporting
- Monitor relevance and accuracy of the different sources of information
- Manage the monthly closing of the General Ledger ensuring the financial data accuracy
- Assist in the yearly budget preparation
- Assist in long-term and short-term cash flow planning
- Review of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliation
- Ensure compliance of policies and procedures

Skills and experience required to be our Management Accountant:

- Qualified through ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Management accounting / finance management experience
- Advanced Excel skills and working experience of Sage 200
