Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting a growing business in Lanarkshire on the appointment of a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Company

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established business operating within a larger international group. With ambitious growth plans and a strong acquisition strategy, the organisation is entering a pivotal stage of its development and is seeking an ambitious accountant who is keen to grow and make an impact.

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, they will take ownership of key finance activities while helping to develop the finance function. This role offers significant variety, exposure to strategic decision-making, and the opportunity to influence processes, reporting and controls as the business continues to grow.

Key Duties

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments and journal entries
  • Production of monthly management reports and KPI analysis
  • Reconciling intercompany balances and key balance sheet accounts
  • Preparing VAT returns and supporting statutory compliance requirements
  • Monitoring cash flow and assisting with cash forecasting activities
  • Supporting weekly sales reporting and commercial performance analysis
  • Processing and reviewing purchase and sales ledger transactions where required
  • Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses into group reporting structures
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to support operational decision-making
  • Driving process improvements, automation initiatives and enhanced financial controls
  • Providing ad hoc analysis and project support to the CFO and wider leadership team

Candidate Profile

  • Part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience candidates considered
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes and management accounting
  • Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting
  • Confident working within a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Experience implementing process improvements would be advantageous
  • Proactive, ambitious and eager to progress within a growing business
