Job Description
Supporting our e-fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer-specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Dagenham site.
As Management Accountant you will look after the day to day accounts functions, assisting in the preparation of the monthly reporting.

Job responsibilities of Management Accountant include:
- Accounting of Fixed Asset and Leasing functions of the company
- Preparation (along side the finance team) of monthly management accounts including posting journals.
- Investigation and explanation of variances in the Management Accounts.
- Reconciling and pre-empting any issues discovered pre and post month end.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Continuous improvement of current procedures.
- Ensure we maximise revenue by highlighting and investigating assets that are not being hired.
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts.
- Assisting with group reporting packs and helping to ensure they are completed and submitted on time.
- Assist with the external audits of the company.
- Assist with annual budgeting and regular forecasts for both internal and external requirements.
- Develop and mentor the Finance team members.
- Ad hoc reporting when required by senior management.

Qualifications
To apply for the role of Management Accountant you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
- Either fully or part Qualified Accountant
- Experience in both the production of management accounts and implementation of processes.
- Experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral.
- Experience of working in a busy environment with strong attention to detail.
- Commercially aware and be involved with driving the company’s objectives.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of MS packages, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups) and Word.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, growing team.
- The ability to work towards deadlines under pressure.
- Driven and eager to work within fixed guidelines.
