Role: Management Accountant
SF Partners are partnered with a fast-growing consumer brand looking to hire a Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function and support continued growth.
Reporting to the Head of Finance and Financial Controller, this highly visible role will partner closely with the Operations and Supply Chain teams. The successful candidate will take ownership of inventory, cost and gross-margin reporting while helping to build the processes, controls and management information required by a scaling business.
Location: Central London (5 days in the office)
Salary: £55,000–£65,000pa (DOE)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams, providing commercially focused financial insight.
- Develop COGS and cost-variance reporting across products and sales channels.
- Design and maintain landed-cost and standard-cost methodologies, including freight and duty.
- Own monthly inventory reconciliations, ensuring physical and system stock agrees to the general ledger.
- Maintain accurate bills of materials as products, packaging and suppliers change.
- Review supplier invoices against expected landed costs.
- Produce gross-margin reporting by product and channel, clearly explaining movements and key drivers.
- Support month-end close, including balance-sheet reconciliations, FX revaluations and intercompany accounting.
- Assist with the company’s first-year audit and ERP implementation.
- Provide costing and margin modelling for new products, formats and international launches.
- Support forecasting, scenario planning and finance-process automation.
- Deliver analysis directly to the founders and senior leadership team.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and management-accounting processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Experience using tools such as Power Query, macros, Power Automate or AI-enabled reporting solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to operate where processes and controls are still being developed.

Experience within FMCG, consumer products, D2C or another rapidly scaling business would be beneficial. Exposure to ERP implementation, multi-entity accounting or a first-year audit would also be advantageous.
