Management Accountant - High-Growth Health Tech Start-up (London)

Finance Team: Head of Commercial Finance

About the Role

We’re a venture-backed health-tech business committed to empowering people to regulate their health. With rapid growth and bold ambitions ahead, we’re expanding our finance function and are searching for a commercially minded Finance professional to help define its direction.

Reporting to the Finance Lead, you’ll assume primary responsibility for day-to-day financial operations, collaborating closely with our B2B team—a high-growth division with significant future potential.

This is a small, agile team where independent work and initiative are valued, yet we thrive on mutual support. You’ll have real ownership over your projects, the freedom to refine processes, and broad exposure across the company—all while making a real impact on meaningful work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls.
  • Lead the month-end close and monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and revenue recognition.
  • Manage cash flow.
  • Present clean, powerful monthly reporting and commercial analysis, including variance analysis and specialist deep-dives.
  • Partner with the B2B team, ensuring:
    • On-time payments and no revenue leakage.
    • Contract-level revenue tracking.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A cycle, directly aid the Finance Lead in planning and decision-making.
  • Streamline the annual audit, acting as the primary auditor liaison and streamlining the closing process.
  • Develop and enhance finance function procedures and controls as the team scales.
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver actionable insights and refine decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
