Role: Management Accountant

A fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing services sector business based in Worcester, as a Management Accountant with a salary of £32,000 – £35,000. Operating a large multi-site portfolio nationally, this business has built a strong reputation for high quality service delivery and sustained growth over many years. This role offers real variety, working closely with a broader finance team and site-based teams, with excellent scope for career progression and study support towards a professional qualification.
Main Duties:
As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:
- Reviewing and preparing monthly management accounts across multiple sites, liaising closely with site managers, regional teams, and Head Office directors
- Safeguarding the accuracy of management accounts across several statutory entities within the group
- Supporting senior finance colleagues with monthly and annual reporting, including board updates, budget and forecast variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation reviews, and reports for external stakeholders
- Providing cover for senior finance team members when required, maintaining a consistent, high standard of work
- Assisting with the preparation and review of additional financial reports requested by directors or external parties
- Helping to safeguard the integrity of financial results and ensuring accounting standards are consistently applied
- Contributing ideas to improve the efficiency and quality of analysis and reporting processes
- Identifying training needs within operational teams and helping to put development plans in place
- Liaising with colleagues across the wider finance function to ensure work is completed efficiently
- Regularly reviewing internal controls and processes, recommending improvements where needed

Location / Office / Culture
The role is based at the company’s Head Office in Worcester, within a well-established and supportive finance team. You’ll be working alongside a wide network of finance professionals, including management accountants, financial accountants, and finance managers, giving genuine exposure and support as you progress your career.

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience working within management accounts
- Strong spreadsheet and Excel skills
- A meticulous, organised, and hardworking approach, with strong time management
- Good attention to detail and the ability to coordinate large amounts of information
- Confidence working independently as well as part of a wider, multi-disciplined team
