Management Accountant

Department: Finance

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: GBR Manchester Hardman Boulevard

Reporting To: Adriana Wyrzykowska

Description

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in the delivery of month-end reporting, financial control, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, take ownership of issues through to resolution, and communicate financial information and insights effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. While Dutch language skills are desirable, they are not essential; however, the role will involve regular interaction with Dutch entities, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective financial accounting services for the Dutch business, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across finance processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly performance:

  • Support the month-end close process and preparation of financial results for the Dutch business as part of the Management Accounts team.
  • Ensure revenue is recognised accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare, review and reconcile cost reporting, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of accruals and prepayments.
  • Investigate and resolve variances, providing clear analysis and insight to support the Commercial Finance team in understanding financial performance.

Financial Control and governance:

  • Process and post all required journal entries, including Dutch payroll journals, ensuring all transactions are supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with the Balance Sheet Reconciliation Policy, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Perform regular reviews of accrued and deferred income to ensure balances are accurate, recoverable, and appropriately supported.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Calculate and maintain key provisions, including bad debt and accrued income provisions.
  • Support the preparation and submission of Dutch VAT returns, ICP declarations (EU Sales declarations), and WKR (Work-Related Costs Scheme) calculations.
  • Assist with the preparation of Dutch statutory accounts and support the year-end audit process.
  • Ensure all spreadsheets, processes, and desktop procedures are fully documented, regularly reviewed, and aligned with global policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks where necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the effectiveness of financial service delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
