About the Role
As a Management Accountant at forpeople, you'll play an important role in keeping our finances running smoothly across our London and Amsterdam studios.
Working closely with our Finance Manager and wider Finance team, you'll support month-end reporting, client billing, payroll, inter-company accounts, audit, and budgeting. You'll take ownership of key processes, making sure our financial information is accurate, timely, and gives the team what they need to make informed decisions.
We're looking for someone who's organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across a busy finance function. Someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, and can be relied on to keep things moving.
This is a 10-month maternity cover position starting in January 2027. Part-time, working 3–4 days per week, with a minimum of two days each week based in our London studio.
What your day might look like
- Supporting month-end close across London and Amsterdam, including FX revaluations, income recognition, cost of sales, and freelancer journals
- Preparing inter-company billing and managing the inter-company loan account
- Reviewing monthly payroll reports and preparing payroll journals
- Supporting client billing, ensuring invoices are accurate and raised on time
- Producing financial reports and maintaining accurate project, client, and supplier information in our financial system, Paprika
- Supporting the annual audit and preparation of the annual budget
- Working with the Finance Manager to resolve queries and keep key finance processes running smoothly
- Providing support and cover across the wider Finance team when needed

- Strong financial foundations – You're confident with management accounting fundamentals, from month-end and journals to reconciliations and reporting, with a meticulous eye for accuracy.
- Ownership & organisation – You're dependable, comfortable managing your own workload, and able to keep multiple deadlines and processes moving at once.
- Commercial thinking & problem solving – You look beyond the numbers, spot when something doesn't look right, and enjoy getting to the bottom of issues. You understand how accurate financial information supports good business decisions.
- Collaboration & communication – You're approachable, clear, and comfortable working with people across Finance and the wider business, whether you're resolving a query or explaining financial information.

Specifically, you'll have:
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, or similar finance role
- Previous experience using Paprika – this is essential for the role
- Good knowledge of month-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with payroll and client billing
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence working independently, taking ownership of your work, and knowing when to ask for support
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Experience working across multiple entities and/or currencies would be an advantage
- Availability to work 3–4 days per week, including a minimum of two days in our London studio
