📢 We’re hiring: Management Accountant | Blackburn – Hybrid
Are you a part-qualified or qualified Management Accountant looking for a role where you can do more than simply produce the numbers?
We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Maintel, supporting the delivery of accurate monthly reporting while working closely with stakeholders across the business to help them understand financial performance and make informed decisions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining the technical side of management accounting with analysis, business partnering, and continuous improvement.
💼 What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Managing month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Partnering with budget holders and non-financial stakeholders to understand performance, costs, and variances
- Producing financial reports, dashboards, and meaningful commentary for senior management
- Supporting audit, VAT, and wider financial compliance activity
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

🔎 What we’re looking for: You’ll be full or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with hands-on finance/accounting experience and a solid understanding of management accounts, balance sheets, and financial controls. You’ll also be confident with Excel, comfortable communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues, and able to work accurately to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. We’re particularly keen to speak to people who are proactive, collaborative, and always looking for ways to make things work better.
