Hays are delighted to be partnering with an established and growing software and technology business to recruit a qualified Management Accountant. Operating within a fast-paced, acquisitive environment, this organisation delivers specialist technology solutions and services to a diverse customer base and continues to invest in growth, innovation and talent. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a collaborative finance team where they will gain broad exposure to operational finance, business partnering and strategic decision-making, while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Your new role

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the operational finance function, taking ownership of management accounts, supporting financial reporting and contributing to forecasting and budgeting activities. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you will partner with operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight, support business performance and help drive informed decision-making.

This is a varied and highly visible role that offers exposure to a dynamic business environment where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting reporting requirements, analysing business performance and identifying opportunities to improve processes and financial controls. The role offers an excellent platform for someone looking to further develop their commercial awareness and influence within a growing organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will be a qualified accountant with previous management accounting experience and strong financial reporting capabilities. You will possess excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, be comfortable working within a changing business environment and demonstrate the ability to build positive working relationships across the organisation. A collaborative approach, commercial awareness and a desire to continuously improve processes and performance will be key to success in this role.
