Management Accountant
Liverpool - Hybrid
£45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a successful and growing business to recruit a Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to move into a commercially focused role within a dynamic organisation. The business is continuing to evolve and invest in its future, creating genuine opportunities for the successful candidate to broaden their responsibilities and develop their career over time.
Initially, the role will focus on delivering accurate management information, financial analysis and business support across a number of key areas. As the business continues to grow, the successful individual will have the opportunity to become involved in projects, process improvements, commercial analysis and wider strategic initiatives.
This position would suit an ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and wants a role offering both challenge and progression.

Reporting into senior leadership, key responsibilities will include:
- Production of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
- Preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Analysis of financial performance and key business drivers, providing insight and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Business partnering with operational and departmental managers to improve profitability and drive performance.
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting processes.
- Analysis of product, customer and departmental profitability.
- Monitoring manufacturing, operational and overhead costs, identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies and cost control.
- Review and analysis of gross margin performance and key operational KPIs.
- Cash flow forecasting and treasury support.
- Development and enhancement of management information, reporting packs and financial controls.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance and the wider business.
The Person
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

- ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Strong management accounting experience gained within industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience producing budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
- A proactive approach and desire to contribute beyond core accounting responsibilities.
