Role Description
The Management Accountant role at Global Travel Systems is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The individual in this role will prepare and review management accounts, including monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Overseeing accruals and prepayments
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconciling key balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Analyzing financial performance
- Providing reports and insights to leadership
- Supporting decision-making for travel industry projects and operations

The role also includes:
- Collaboration with internal teams and clients
- Assisting with audit preparation
- Maintaining compliance with relevant financial standards
- Contributing to process improvements
Qualifications
- Strong finance and accounting knowledge, with experience in preparing and maintaining Financial Statements.
- Hands-on experience with Accruals and other period-end adjustments within a management accounting environment.
- Developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
- Relevant professional qualification or degree (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field).
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Experience in the travel or tourism sector, or supporting services to that sector, is advantageous.
