Management Accountant: US Law Firm

Location: Liverpool Street
Salary: £75,000
Employment Type: Permanent (Hybrid)

We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join the London Finance team of a highly regarded US law firm based in Liverpool Street. This is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for the London general ledger and month-end close, alongside management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and accounting and tax coordination support for the firm's Frankfurt and Brussels offices.

The Role

  • Ownership of the London general ledger, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing the monthly month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting
  • Providing accounting and tax coordination support to the Frankfurt and Brussels offices
  • Supporting client accounting and compliance activities
  • Maintaining effective financial controls across the London office
  • Working closely with Finance colleagues and non-finance stakeholders across the firm
  • Assisting with ad hoc analysis, audit requests, and process improvements

  • Strong technical accounting skills with solid general ledger and month-end experience
  • Experience in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Exposure to multi-entity or international reporting would be advantageous
  • Law firm or professional services experience is desirable but not essential
  • High level of attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Comfortable working across multiple areas of a Finance function in a hands-on capacity

£75,000 basic plus benefits. Hybrid working.
