We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to influence business performance and support strategic decision-making. The role includes responsibility for monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and driving continuous improvement across the business.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reports.
  • Providing detailed financial analysis and commentary on business performance.
  • Producing variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Supporting annual budget and rolling forecast processes.
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.
  • Assisting with statutory reporting and audit requirements.
  • Partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve financial performance.
  • Supporting cost control, inventory analysis and working capital management.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting, controls and processes.
  • Supporting finance transformation and system improvement projects.
  • Coaching and supporting junior members of the Finance team where required.

About You

We are looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and strong business partnering skills.

Essential

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within a Management Accountant role.
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • SAP or ERP system experience.
  • Experience of budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
  • Knowledge of stock accounting and cost analysis.
