Robert Half are partnering with a renowned energy organisation based in London. They manage national energy grids, ensuring compliance with market rules. Operating at the heart of the energy sector, they ensure the market runs accurately and smoothly.

Due to this continued growth and projects, they are looking to hire a talented Management Accountant to join their reporting department.

📊 Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will support in owning month-end processes, monthly reporting, and commercial responsibilities to help achieve business objectives. Key duties include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • Take ownership of month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances or discrepancies.
  • Produce monthly variance analysis with clear financial commentary to support business decision-making.
  • Business partner with budget holders and operational stakeholders, providing financial insight and support.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting as required.
  • Support year-end processes and provide information for internal and external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and project work to support the wider finance function.

The ideal profile for this Management Accountant position, should have the following:

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA or CIMA)
  • 4+ years of experience within a similar management accounting capacity
  • Practical experience in owning month-end processes, and budgeting/forecasting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and business partner

💵 Salary and Package

£45,000 - £50,000 + additional benefits including:
