About the Business

An excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing services business in Central Worcester as a Management Accountant. You'll sit within a small but high-impact commercial team, reporting to the commercial head, with real autonomy over the end-to-end management accounts and the opportunity for line management of one team member. This is a role with genuine visibility, working directly with the Finance Director and the wider Executive team.

Main Duties:

As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:

  • Taking full ownership of the management accounts from start to finish
  • Producing and reviewing the monthly accounts for every company within the Group
  • Pulling the Group figures together into a consolidated set of management accounts
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Building the monthly reporting pack for the Board and Executive team
  • Producing insightful reporting across sales activity, customer and R&D
  • Developing P&L reporting split by function, department and product, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Supplying management information to the Executive team on request
  • Working alongside the wider FP&A team to pull together the annual budget, ongoing forecasts and supporting packs
  • Driving improvements in reporting processes, output quality and model governance, with a view to shortening the month-end timetable
  • Introducing process improvements and tightening controls through automation
  • Making better use of finance systems, data and tools to improve efficiency and insight
  • Line managing one member of the management accounting team, covering objectives, coaching, development and performance
  • Acting as a mentor across the wider finance team, setting the standard for accuracy, rigour and ownership
  • Maintaining consistency and high technical standards across reporting

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid, with a maximum of 2 days based in Central Worcester. You'll be joining a lean, fast-moving finance function where your work is seen and used at Board level.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified is preferred but will consider finalists or QBE
  • Ownership of the month-end process is essential
  • A proven track record of delivering accurate financial information to deadline
  • Experience of managing, coaching or developing others — or clear readiness to take that step
  • Advanced Excel and strong attention to detail
  • Confidence working autonomously within a small team
