Iconic Resourcing Exclusive Support
Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be exclusive supporting a fast-growing, acquisitive SME with plans to grow across the UK. Having completed a series of acquisitions over the past year, the business is scaling quickly and consolidating multiple entities and revenue streams under one finance function - making this a rare opportunity to build and shape a finance operation from the ground up.

As the business continues to acquire and integrate new entities, you'll play a key role in bringing consistency and control to the group's financial reporting.
This role is offering a salary of up to £50,000 plus benefits and is primarily office-based in the Glasgow area.
Responsibilities
- Managing the full finance function on a day-to-day basis, with minimal support
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting to the CFO
- Being hands-on with purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and cash flow
- Supporting the integration of newly acquired entities into group finance processes
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and year-end audit preparation
- Liaising with external accountants/auditors as required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
