Citadel Source is delighted to be partnering with a Herefordshire-based organisation undergoing continued growth to support the recruitment of their new Management Accountant on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract.
About you
You’re an organised and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in management accounting, financial control, reporting and process improvement. You bring strong technical accounting knowledge, a proactive approach to improving processes, and confidence working across a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. You’re analytical, well-organised, and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining high levels of financial accuracy and compliance.
As a Management Accountant, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Ownership of monthly management accounts preparation across multiple entities
- Leading the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Preparing and posting journals including revenue, cost of sales, accruals and prepayments
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
- Producing profit centre reporting with detailed variance analysis
- Supporting monthly and annual reporting requirements, including Board and senior management reporting
- Assisting with year-end audit preparation and statutory accounting support
- Supporting the maintenance and improvement of financial controls and processes
- Providing financial support to operational teams and commercial stakeholders
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities

What the client is looking for
- Fully Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
- Proven experience in a management accounting role
- Strong understanding of financial processes, controls and data integrity
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider commercial finance activity

What the client has to offer
- Base salary of between £45,000 and £55,000 (DOE)
- Hybrid working (2-3 days on-site)
- 33 days’ holiday per annum, inclusive of Bank Holidays
