Citadel Source is delighted to be partnering with a Herefordshire-based organisation undergoing continued growth to support the recruitment of their new Management Accountant on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

About you

You’re an organised and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in management accounting, financial control, reporting and process improvement. You bring strong technical accounting knowledge, a proactive approach to improving processes, and confidence working across a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. You’re analytical, well-organised, and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining high levels of financial accuracy and compliance.

As a Management Accountant, your role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ownership of monthly management accounts preparation across multiple entities
  • Leading the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
  • Preparing and posting journals including revenue, cost of sales, accruals and prepayments
  • Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
  • Producing profit centre reporting with detailed variance analysis
  • Supporting monthly and annual reporting requirements, including Board and senior management reporting
  • Assisting with year-end audit preparation and statutory accounting support
  • Supporting the maintenance and improvement of financial controls and processes
  • Providing financial support to operational teams and commercial stakeholders
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities

What the client is looking for

  • Fully Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, controls and data integrity
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider commercial finance activity

What the client has to offer

  • Base salary of between £45,000 and £55,000 (DOE)
  • Hybrid working (2-3 days on-site)
