We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Pembridge, Herefordshire working 39 hours per week Monday - Friday.

The Management Accountant role prepares, develops and analyses financial information timely and accurately to allow the organisation to make well-informed decisions, all while adhering to the Accounting Manual and Company policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the Fixed Asset Register and the verification of assets across the UK sites (Pembridge, Selby & Basildon)
- Ownership of the IFRS 16 Leased Asset Accounting ensuring Sharecontrol is accurate
- Continually reviewing Assets Under Construction and capitalising Assets
- Process the Disposal of Assets ensuring they have been approved accordingly
- Focus on the accuracy of forecasting Capex spend and Deprecation
- Working closely with key stakeholders to collate longer term Capex spend plans for the Budget and Strat Plan years
- Post-Acquisition Capex Project Reviews in accordance with the Accounting Manual
- Posting journals at month end including prepayments/accruals & provisions
- Allocation of Divisional Management & IT Recharges
- Work alongside the Finance Business Partners completing business critical tasks such as:
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Intercompany Balance Reconciliations
- VAT
- Inward Processing Relief (IPR)
- Plastic Packaging Tax
- Performing checks and approving both vendor and payroll payments
- Creating Banks in SAP
- Vendor Confirmations
- Aiding with monthly completion & loading to the group reporting system (Tagetik)
- Working with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information to assist with decision making
- Identifying and taking responsibility of areas which could be more efficient in order to give more time to more value added activities
- Liaising with internal and external audit to supply backing for journal postings
