Aria Partners are delighted to be working with a boutique and successful investment management firm looking to appoint a Management Accountant into its London finance team.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, this is a broad corporate accounting role, with exposure across the firm’s corporate entities and portfolio companies. It would suit someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on position and wants to develop their career within the investment management sector.
The ideal candidate will be ACA, CA, ACCA recently qualified from a smaller to medium sized accounting firm with some practical and hands-on reporting/accounting experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Producing management reporting to support senior-level decision making
- Preparing P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
- Leading the annual budgeting and planning process
- Monitoring income and expenditure against budgets
- Balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns and intercompany cost allocations
- Working with external payroll providers
- Producing ad hoc analysis, reports and dashboards
- Developing and improving financial systems and processes
- Identifying opportunities to automate and improve manual processes

We’re looking for:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent
- Previous management accounting experience, or someone looking to make the move from practice
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Someone diligent, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
- A genuine interest in investment management/private markets - previous sector experience isn't essential
- A collaborative team player with the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone looking for a broad, commercially focused accounting role where they can gain exposure beyond traditional month-end reporting and contribute to budgeting, analysis, systems and process improvement.
Hybrid working 2-3 days in the office and salary in the region of £60-65,000 base plus bonus.
