Management Accountant

About us

Halfords is on a journey - building the future of motoring and cycling and looking for people who want to help shape what comes next. We’re a place for co-creators: people who want to make a real impact, take ownership and be part of something that’s still evolving.

As the UK’s leading retailer of motoring and cycling products, we’re supported by one of the country’s largest independent vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair networks through Halfords Autocentres. This breadth gives us a strong, stable foundation - and the freedom to keep innovating and growing.

That means real variety for our colleagues, along with the opportunity to learn, stretch, and develop as the business moves forward. Whatever your role, you’ll be part of a team focused on delivering exceptional service - using your expertise to solve problems, guide customers, and help keep the nation moving with confidence.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious Management Accountant who is ready to make a real impact. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, insightful financial information that supports and drives business success.

As a trusted partner to teams across the business, you’ll turn data into meaningful insights, communicating financial information in a clear and engaging way. We’re looking for someone naturally curious, confident in building relationships, and motivated to challenge and improve existing processes. Whether supporting forecasts, enhancing reporting, or providing guidance, you’ll bring a positive and solutions-focused approach.

You’ll also play an important role in shaping a high-performing, forward-thinking finance function - contributing to transformation initiatives and driving continuous improvement across the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
