Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties is proud to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded global business in Milton Keynes with the appointment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

They are seeking a proactive and hands-on Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified Management Accountant who can take ownership of the month-end process, provide meaningful financial analysis and work closely with stakeholders across the business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of producing accurate and timely month-end management accounts and departmental P&Ls.
  • Monitor KPIs, highlighting trends, analysing variances and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are fully reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and provide regular management reporting and financial analysis.
  • Work closely with budget holders and key stakeholders to understand business performance and financial results.
  • Support the production of annual budgets and forecasts, providing relevant financial analysis and insight.
  • Provide insightful analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Assist with year-end processes, audit requirements and other ad hoc financial projects as required.

  • Part-Qualified CIMA or ACCA, AAT Qualified, or newly qualified in a relevant accounting qualification.
  • Previous experience within a management accounting environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and able to demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Works well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively and consistently meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
