There are plenty of challenges and opportunities to develop your business acumen and accounting skills.

The successful candidate will be exposed to a fast-paced, acquisitive and ever-changing corporate environment. The role will report directly to the FBP & Lead Management Accountant (title TBC), have daily contact with the other FBP/MA team, and communicate with operational staff on a regular basis. We are looking for a professional to uphold professional rigour, but at the same time forge a warm and constructive relationship with business colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for preparation of monthly management accounts for business units, ensuring completely, accurate and timely reporting in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting packs including KPIs; supported by clear variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Preparation and maintenance of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring integrity of financial data and prompt resolution of reconciling items.
  • Ownership of monthly revenue and cost reconciliations, validating underlying movements and ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and IFRS requirements.
  • Analysis and reconciliation of overhead expenditure, payroll costs and headcount movements, investigating variances and highlighting areas requiring attention.
  • Ownership of cost forecasting and support for wider budgeting and forecasting processes through the provision of robust financial data and assumptions.
  • Support forecasting activities through accurate financial modelling and maintenance of underlying data.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial records, controls and reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, strengthen controls and drive standardisation across the Operational Finance team.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements, providing documentation and explanations as required.
  • Build effective working relationships with operational colleagues, acting as a trusted finance contact on accounting, reporting and process-related matters.
  • Support the FBP team with analysis and ad hoc projects, providing high-quality financial information to enable business decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and other ad hoc projects across the wider Finance function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
