Competitive Salary Dependent on Experience
We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our PSG Finance team based in 2 Cavendish Square. The team is responsible for supporting a portfolio of Joint Ventures and business partnerships, providing accurate financial reporting, analysis, and commercial insight to Senior Management, HCA Head Office, and investors. Working closely with hospital finance teams, investors, and key stakeholders, the team ensures the financial integrity and performance of these ventures while helping to drive informed business decisions.
As a Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ownership of dividend and distribution calculations, and meaningful analysis across multiple Joint Venture entities. You'll be responsible for preparing board reporting packs, supporting forecasting and budgeting activities, and providing commercial insight on business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with management accounting or audit experience who is studying towards a professional qualification and is looking to further develop their commercial finance expertise within a complex and fast-paced healthcare environment.
Above all else, we’re committed to the care and improvement of human life. It’s this guiding vision that influences everything we do at HCA UK. From the CEO to the colleagues on the floor, we all have a part to play in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Other’s may think this is just a role in Finance, but to us, you’ll be part of a wider team with a unique sense of purpose, one that helps improve lives on a daily basis.
What you’ll do:
- Take ownership of the accounting, calculation, and payment of distributions and dividends across Joint Venture entities.
- Prepare quarterly board packs, financial reports, and investor reporting, providing analysis and commentary on business performance.
- Complete monthly accounting activities for Primary Care Joint Ventures, including accruals, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and debtor management.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, business valuations, and other commercial finance projects.
- Liaise with auditors, hospital finance teams, investors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
