Management Accountant

Are you studying towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification and looking to develop your finance career within a fast-paced logistics environment? Do you enjoy turning financial data into meaningful insights that help operational teams make better business decisions? Are you highly organised, detail focused and able to deliver accurate reporting to tight deadlines?

Join GXO as a Management Accountant and become a key part of the finance team supporting the Costa contract. Working closely with operational leaders, you'll help provide clear financial reporting, meaningful performance insights and accurate management accounts that support day-to-day decision making. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial understanding of a large logistics operation while building strong relationships across both finance and operational teams. This is a full time, permanent position working at either our Centre Point, Trafford Park or Wellingborough site, Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 or 08:00 to 16:00.

Pay, benefits and more

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £41,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day

  • Prepare weekly cost reports, monthly management accounts and KPI reporting to support business performance
  • Complete month-end activities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal financial controls and audit requirements
  • Analyse financial results and provide commentary to help operational teams understand performance
  • Build strong relationships with operational managers and support them with financial insight and reporting
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the Senior Finance Manager and wider finance team

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Actively studying towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification
  • Strong excel skills, with the ability to analyse data and produce financial reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • A positive, can-do approach with strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across the operation
