Management Accountant – Remote – Up to £60,000

About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team, reporting directly to the Head of FP&A. This is a varied and commercially focused position, offering the chance to take ownership of financial reporting while working closely with operational stakeholders to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing monthly financial reporting, ensuring accurate accounts and reconciliations are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Taking responsibility for key balance sheet areas, including income deferrals and contractual provisions.
- Analysing revenue streams and ensuring income is accurately recorded across different customer arrangements.
- Preparing operational and financial performance reports, identifying key trends and areas requiring attention.
- Investigating financial variances and providing clear recommendations to support commercial decisions.
- Building strong relationships with operational managers, offering financial guidance and constructive challenge.
- Evaluating profitability and expenditure across different services to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
- Monitoring employee-related expenditure, including temporary staffing costs and associated liabilities.
- Preparing short-term cash flow projections and assessing movements in working capital.
- Contributing to financial planning activities, including annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Supporting the accounting of capital investments and maintaining accurate fixed asset records.
- Coordinating information for external audits and ensuring financial controls are consistently maintained.
- Reviewing existing finance processes and supporting improvements to reporting systems and procedures.
- Undertaking additional financial analysis and projects alongside the Head of FP&A.

About the Successful Applicant
You will be a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with at least three years' practical accounting experience. Strong Excel capabilities, analytical thinking and excellent communication skills are essential, alongside the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business. Exposure to Microsoft Business Central or comparable finance systems would be advantageous, as would experience within Healthcare or another operationally complex environment.
