Management Accountant in Business Services

As a Management Accountant in the business services industry, you'll focus on managing financial operations and providing insights that drive decision-making. This role involves ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and supporting the organisation's growth through effective cost management and analysis.

This opportunity is with a business services company operating in the facilities sector.

Description

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Provide detailed cost analysis and support budget planning processes.
  • Work closely with operational teams to monitor financial performance.
  • Assist in forecasting and variance analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver financial insights and recommendations.

Profile

  • Previous experience in a finance environment required, ideally commercially focused experience
  • Ideally studying for professional accountancy qualification (support provided)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience in a high-volume transaction environment
  • Commitment to multiple deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach to process improvement within team including future opportunities from Microsoft 365
