An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a growing and successful business based in Bury.

This is a key role within the finance team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of management accounts, provide valuable financial insight to senior management and play an important part in supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Producing detailed management information and financial reporting packs
- Providing analysis and commentary on financial performance, variances and trends
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning
- Preparing monthly accruals, prepayments and journal entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations and control account management
- Monitoring costs, margins and business performance
- Working closely with operational and senior management teams to provide financial insight
- Supporting year-end accounts and the external audit process
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial controls and processes
- Assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis and commercial projects
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the finance team where required

The Right Candidate Will Have
- Strong management accounting experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts
- Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial controls
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
- A commercially focused and proactive approach
- Ideally, be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified, although strong relevant experience will also be considered
