Management Accountant

Location: Abingdon (OX14 1RL)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE plus benefits

At Trinity Fire & Security, we’re more than just experts in safety and security — we’re a supportive team with a shared purpose: protecting what matters most to our customers.

We’re looking for a Management Accountant who will be responsible for the month end management accounts for Trinity's Service division. This will involve talking to Service Field Line Managers and the Senior management team to ensure that the accounts represent the operational delivery status of the individual contracts while also trying to achieve monthly financial targets.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will undertake monthly reviews of service revenue to ensure completeness, complete reallocation journals for consolidated billing and analysis of engineering productivity and labour variance analysis. You will also be responsible for maintaining key Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviewing and reconciling deferred income controls accounts.

This role is a full time permanent role based from our Abingdon office (OX14 1RL).

What you will be doing:

  • Reviewing service revenue compared to activity to ensure completeness of billing and investigate any anomalies which will involve liaising with the Service delivery team to monitor weekly forecasting.
  • Preparation and transacting national contract consolidated billing and posting relevant reallocation journals to enable full job costing analysis.
  • Preparation of the month end management accounts for the Service Division, involving monthly review meetings with the commercial teams to discuss and review the results prior to finalisation.
  • Monthly reconciliation of relevant balance sheet codes for submission to the Financial Controller for analysis at month end.
  • Calculation of monthly engineering labour productivity analysis and investigation of any variances.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
