Klarent Hospitality have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our dynamic team based in our Head Office in Glasgow City Centre. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are ready to make an impact in the world of hospitality, this is the job for you!

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified accountant, ideally with 2-3 years post-qualified experience, although candidates with less experience will be considered
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • A practical problem solver with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
  • A proactive self-starter who can manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • A collaborative team player
  • Hotel experience is desirable but not essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end process, including preparation of management accounts, journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare clear and accurate financial reporting for Regional Financial Controllers, General Managers and other key stakeholders
  • Oversee daily banking, cash movements and bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are investigated promptly
  • Prepare VAT returns, reconcile payroll accounts and support internal and external audit requirements
  • Support budgeting and forecasting, helping stakeholders understand and interpret financial performance
  • Promote strong financial controls, manage risk and contribute to process improvements and change initiatives
