Management Accountant

London | Full Time

Our client is part of a larger international biopharmaceutical group, with over 40 years of experience and operations in more than 50 countries. The UK entity was established in 2022 to bring the group's products to the UK market. Their portfolio spans HRT, pregnancy and sexual health, with a strong pipeline and a commitment to finding clinical solutions for women across key stages of their sexual and reproductive lives. This is an exciting phase to join as the business builds towards becoming a leader in Women's Health medicine in the UK.

The role

Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to support the Finance & Operations Director and wider management team, delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis. You'll provide timely, insightful financial information that supports strategic decision-making and drives business performance, working closely with budget holders across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management accounts to agreed reporting deadlines
  • Produce monthly P&L accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Support preparation of statutory accounts and annual audits

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process
  • Prepare quarterly and rolling forecasts
  • Provide detailed variance analysis
  • Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning

Financial Analysis

  • Perform financial and commercial analysis to support decision-making
  • Analyse revenue, margins, operating costs and profitability trends
  • Prepare KPI reports and performance dashboards

Business Partnering

  • Partner with departmental managers to improve financial performance
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations

What you'll bring

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Qualified or finalist ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong experience in finance or management accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset and analytical capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail, integrity and a proactive, collaborative approach
