Are you a commercially minded finance professional with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement?

We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our Grocery Supply Chain Finance team in Worksop on a 6-month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within one of the UK's largest food businesses, partnering with operational leaders to provide insight, challenge and financial control that helps drive site performance.

Working closely with the Grocery Financial Controller and site leadership teams, you'll influence decision-making, support cost-saving initiatives and provide the financial insight needed to help our manufacturing operation perform at its very best.

What you'll be doing

  • Business partnering Centre Managers, Engineering and QA teams to drive operational and financial performance.
  • Providing day-to-day financial control across the Worksop manufacturing site.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reporting, forecasts, KPIs and Financial Performance Reports.
  • Controlling, analysing and communicating site overhead spend.
  • Supporting stock control activities, yield analysis and factory performance reporting.
  • Managing balance sheet controls, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Monitoring capital expenditure and partnering with project engineers on investment projects.
  • Preparing robust budgets and forecasts and communicating these to site teams.
  • Producing labour forecasts and identifying risks and opportunities to performance.
  • Reviewing and challenging product costings, ensuring financial accuracy and commercial understanding.
  • Supporting cost reduction initiatives through insightful analysis and proactive challenge.
  • Playing an active role within the wider Grocery Supply Chain Finance team, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or operational finance environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience of SAP.
  • The ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful business insight.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
