General Requirements

The Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Finance & Operations Director and wider management team by delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.

The role will be responsible for providing timely and insightful financial information, supporting strategic decision-making and driving business performance through effective financial planning, management reporting and business partnering.

Working closely with budget holders across the organisation, the Management Accountant will help ensure financial discipline, improve business performance, identify opportunities for growth and efficiency, and contribute to the continuous development of financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts in accordance with agreed reporting deadlines.
Produce monthly profit and loss accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Support preparation of statutory accounts and annual audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Coordinate the annual budgeting process.
Prepare quarterly and rolling forecasts.
Provide detailed variance analysis.
Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
Financial Analysis
Perform financial and commercial analysis to support decision-making.
Analyse revenue, margins, operating costs and profitability trends.
Prepare KPI reports and performance dashboards.
