Management Accountant | VC-backed Consumer Tech Platform | London/Hybrid
Harmonic are excited to collaborate with a rapidly growing Online Marketplace to bring on board a Management Accountant to join the team in their central London office.
Their innovative digital marketplace platform has attracted investment from several top-tier Venture Capital funds (early backers of Spotify, Depop and Canva), and is now rapidly expanding internationally, having grown from c.£25m > £125m revenue in the last 4 years. The business continues to make good progress, with potential for future M&A activity and mid-term plans to IPO.

The Role:
Working closely with the Head of Finance and Director of Financial Control, the Management Accountant will provide high-quality consolidated reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and executive-level commentary. The role will ensure that key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities are clearly identified and communicated to senior leadership. In addition, the role will support the Marketing team by improving reporting and driving greater efficiency and optimization of marketing spend across all business units.

This is a key role in the team that will bridge the gap, acting as the central link with Business Unit Accountants, Commercial Finance and FP&A to deliver a clear, consistent, and holistic view of group performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Consolidated Group Reporting
- Own the consolidated P&L and balance sheet, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Act as the link between BU FBAs and group reporting, translating BU insights into a cohesive group view.
- Deliver clear, actionable executive commentary on performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Marketing Finance Support
- Deliver timely, accurate reporting and monthly P&L reviews.
- Identify risks and opportunities early, recommending mitigation or investment strategies.
- Provide clear, actionable commentary on performance drivers and outcomes.
Group Balance Sheet & Reconciliations
- Lead the preparation, consolidation, and review of monthly group balance sheet reporting.
- Maintain robust reconciliations across all entities, proactively resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor and align intercompany balances across the group.
Audit & Compliance
- Support annual audits, preparing documentation, responding to queries, and ensuring a smooth process.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP and internal control requirements.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with FP&A, FBAs, and wider finance teams to ensure alignment across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Partner with operational finance to embed best-practice controls.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and reporting to support business growth.

What you’ll bring:
- Part/Fully Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, with strong technical knowledge.
- Experience in consolidated P&L and balance sheet reporting across multiple entities.
- Strong track record of variance analysis and delivering insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills; Netsuite or similar ERP experience desirable.
- Analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communicator, able to build relationships across different teams and influence at senior levels.

Central London (Hybrid Option - 3 days in office / 2 from home)
