Aria Partners is working with an established venture capital fund that is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its London-based finance team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the role sits within a close-knit team and will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the firm’s management companies.
This is a broad, hands-on position offering exposure across management reporting, statutory accounts, budgeting, tax, treasury and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly management accounts, forecasts and supporting commentary
- Produce annual budgets and longer-term financial forecasts
- Coordinate statutory accounts across several international entities
- Support external advisers with corporation tax, VAT, income tax and transfer pricing matters
- Assist with regulatory reporting for the firm’s regulated entities
- Manage payroll, pensions, treasury and cash management
- Oversee transactional accounting completed by a part-qualified member of the team
- Support the Finance Director and wider business with ad hoc financial analysis and projects

Requirements
- Qualified accountant, ideally newly qualified to around two years post-qualified
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Strong grounding in double-entry accounting and the preparation of management accounts
- Experience gained within a small or mid-sized accountancy practice or an in-house finance team
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a small business environment
- Good Excel skills and an interest in improving systems and processes

Compensation is circa £60,000-75,000 depending on experience with an annual discretionary bonus.
