Management Accountant / £55,000 - £65,000 / Oxfordshire

Working in partnership with the Finance leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and insightful management accounts across a UK based engineering business.

Responsibilities

  • Own elements of the month end process, including management accounts, journals, reconciliations and balance sheet reporting.
  • Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, providing clear commentary and insight into key variances.
  • Work closely with operational and finance stakeholders to understand business performance and identify areas requiring further investigation.
  • Take responsibility for the accurate accounting and reporting of inventory, including stock movements, accruals, stock counts and adjustments.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and support the continuous improvement of reporting processes across the business.

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in management accounting, ideally within an engineering environment
  • Experience of inventory accounting, stock control or standard costing would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly
